Application of p-grade development environment in meteorology

The main objective of a meteorological nowcasting system is to analyse and predict in ultra-short range those weather phenomena, which might be dangerous for life and property. The Hungarian Meteorological Service developed a nowcasting system (MEANDER), and its most computational intensive calculations have been parallelised by means of P-GRADE graphical programming environment. In this paper ...

Ccsp -a Formal System for Distributed Program Debugging

One major problem with programming in a parallel/distributed environment is the diiculty in debugging the programs owing to the complex interactions of their component processes. Complete knowledge of the program's state is not generally attainable in a distributed system. This paper presents a distributed system for debugging distributed programs that allows for the execution and evaluation of...

HSIS: A BDD-Based Environment for Formal Veri cation

Functional and timing veriication are currently the bottlenecks in many design eeorts. Simulation and emulation are extensively used for veriication. Formal veriication is now gaining acceptance in advanced design groups. This has been facilitated by the use of binary decision diagrams (BDDs). This paper describes the essential features of HSIS, a BDD-based environment for formal veriication: 1...

OntoDSL: An Ontology-Based Framework for Domain-Specific Languages

Domain-specific languages (DSLs) are high-level and should provide abstractions and notations for better understanding and easier modeling of applications of a special domain. Current shortcomings of DSLs include learning curve and formal semantics. This paper reports on a novel approach that allows the use of ontologies to describe DSLs. The formal semantics of OWL together with reasoning serv...
